|Aluminum Watertight 01-Painted|
|Painted Version: The Rose+Bopla watertight diecast aluminum enclosure in the powdercoated version is our basic off-the-shelf model and is stocked ready to ship. This box is powdercoat painted in silver gray and comes with a lid, base and seal.
Rose+Bopla’s diecast aluminum enclosures have clean lines and smooth round corners for a high-tech modern look. Die-casting ensures maintenance of accurate tolerances on all boxes. The Rose+Bopla tongue and groove gasket design has become the industry standard.
Watertight diecast aluminum enclosures in the powdercoated version may be used for electronics, measurement and control, power distribution, as well as for pneumatic techniques and hydraulic applications.
If a removable gasket or an RFI shielding gasket is required, you must start with the unpainted version.
Each aluminum enclosure consists of a powdercoat painted die-cast base and lid, captive stainless steel lid screws, copper ground screws and a seal. These enclosures are painted a standard silver gray. For special colors, see unpainted version.
|Aluminum Watertight 01-Unpainted|
|Unpainted Version: Rose+Bopla’s watertight diecast aluminum enclosure is available in an unpainted version. For the engineers who want to do machining in-house or wish for us to do machining or other secondary service operations, the unpainted version is the best option. The features are the same as the painted version.
Each aluminum enclosure consists of a die-cast base and lid, captive stainless steel lid screws, copper ground screws, and a standard Neoprene gasket. If an RFI or silicone gasket is required, it must be ordered separately at additional cost and will replace the standard neoprene gasket.
|Aluminum Watertight 01 Flange|
|Painted or Unpainted Versions: These diecast aluminum enclosures are available in painted and unpainted versions and are designed for applications where quick mounting in the field is required. The enclosure lid does not have to be removed during installation.
The painted version includes a powder-coat painted die-cast aluminum base and lid, captive stainless steel lid screws, copper ground screws and a polyurethane gasket. The unpainted version is bare aluminum and has a standard neoprene gasket. Silicone or RFI gaskets are available as an option to the unpainted version and will replace the standard neoprene gasket.
|Aluform Watertight Enclosures|
|Rose+Bopla’s Aluform enclosures are stylish, diecast aluminum
enclosures specifically designed for rugged electronic instrumentation applications.
Aluform enclosures feature an attractive beveled lid and are designed with a lower profile height than Rose+Bopla’s standard diecast aluminum 01 series housings. Internal mounting bosses in the base and lid provide convenience for component installation. New hinges, and one-piece external brackets are available as options.
A watertight Aluform enclosure includes a powdercoat painted die-cast base and lid, captive stainless steel lid screws and a polyurethane gasket as the standard configuration. The unpainted version comes with a neoprene gasket.
|Alument housings are constructed in rugged diecast aluminum. Special advantages include: impact resistance, greater temperature resistance and unique “U” shaped lid/base design which simplifies electronic component installation and maintenance. Offered in three sizes, in either painted or unpainted versions. Standard painted color is light gray/blue gray. Four M4 screws assemble the housing from the bottom base. Optional front access lid screws can be used for wall mount applications. Rose+Bopla uses ALSi 12 copper free alloy with a copper content of .10 percent. The reduction in copper content increases the natural corrosion resistance properties of aluminum.||Product Catalogue|
|Fiberglass Watertight 02|
|Rose+Bopla’s fiberglass watertight enclosures are the enclosures to use when harsh environments are a problem. These enclosures are made of compression molded fiberglass, the best method for producing a strong, rugged enclosure which will withstand all conditions: weather, liquids, chemicals and harsh manufacturing environments. Rose+Bopla’s fiberglass enclosures stand up to adverse weather conditions and most industrial chemicals with no deterioration over many years.
They will also withstand the effects of ultra-violet rays.
Our Fiberglass Watertight 02 enclosure consists of a compression molded lid and base, captive stainless steel lid screws, molded-in mounting inserts in base, polyurethane gasket. Silicone and RFI gaskets are available as an option.
These Fiberglass Watertight 02 enclosures can be used for water pollution control devices, paper processing controls and ship and harbor beacon signal controls.
|Fiberglass Modular Flange|
|Rose+Bopla’s Fiberglass Modular Flange System consists of three different enclosures that can be used as stand alone units or can be quickly bolted together with connecting tunnel flanges and wedges. This fast system of joining enclosures together
not only guarantees a watertight seal, but also offers greatly expanded internal component mounting space. The length and width dimensions are expandable by adding additional enclosures.
These 3 expandable systems offer all the advantages of molded products: clean design, tight tolerances, consistent dimensions, strength, low cost and resistance to weather and industrial corrosion. They also offer what is not normally available with molded products: expansion capability.
All units are made from compression-molded fiberglass mats that are UV stabilized. This system offers strength, ruggedness and weather/corrosion resistance, unmatched by metal enclosures. The rugged compression molded plastic will not give off toxic halogenated gases when burned. This makes these units ideal for areas where strict fire codes limit the use of plastic cases in harsh manufacturing high fire hazard areas. These fiberglass modular enclosures are ideal for electrical junction boxes in caustic petro-chemical plants or electroplating plants.
Rose+Bopla’s fiberglass modular enclosures have also been used to house car wash controls and as outdoor post-mounted railroad signal control boxes. These units can be used alone as individual control or junction boxes, or can be snapped together quickly to create an expandable, wall-mounted, outdoor, electrical control center. These modular enclosures are ideal for outdoor use, as they are impervious to sun, rain, sleet, ice and acid rain. These boxes will outlast any metal unit outdoors.
Each enclosure includes compression molded lid and base, non-reinforced fiberglass (POCAN) 3/4 turn lid screws and a polyurethane gasket.
Flanges, connecting tunnels, hinges, mounting plates etc., are options and must be ordered separately. (Flange wedges are included with flanges).
Optional pre-threaded flanges have molded-in knockouts, which are easily removed with a screwdriver. This exposes the molded-in threads designed for Rose+Bopla’s fiberglass watertight cable grips. The grips are threaded and offer a watertight power cable entry/exit in seconds. The optional blank flange can be machined to fit any connector requirements, or unmachined, can be used to fill flange openings.
Wall mounting holes are molded into each box. The lid must be removed to wall mount with this method. Optional external wall mounting brackets can be bolted onto the rear of the box. The lid does not have to be removed when using external wall-mount brackets.
|Rose+Bopla’s Polymas Watertight enclosures are designed to provide improved oil and petro-chemical resistant properties over Polycarbonate and ABS enclosures, at a lower cost than our Fiberglass enclosures. The Polymas Watertight enclosures are made of glass filled polyamide which makes them heat-stabilized. These enclosures are offered in two versions: standard enclosures and enclosures featuring ¼ turn lid screws*. They can also be special ordered with molded-in cable grips.
The Polymas Watertight enclosure includes a molded lid, stainless steel captive lid screws, neoprene gasket, and a Polymas base with molded-in bosses for printed circuit boards and mounting boss holes for terminal block rails.
|E-30 High Temp Enclosures|
|The robust E-30 high temperature enclosure complies with all requirements for the fire certification in accordance with DIN 4102 part 12, and provides ingress protection up to IP 66. This level of compliance permits use in safety-related applications, from emergency exit route lighting in staircases or underground garages to ventilation systems in tunnels through mountains or beneath rivers and lakes. The distinctive bright orange E-30 enclosure is made of a special halogen-free polyester material. This material ensures that they meet the requirements for minimum smoke development and prevention of corrosive toxic gas production. High temperature ceramic feed-through terminals, cable glands or conduit hubs, conforming to VDE requirements, are also available to fit your design specifications. A special stainless steel supporting frame for the terminal rails offers secure mounting of terminals and cables, even under the influence of extreme heat.
In short, with E-30 junction boxes, emergency systems stay connected longer during catastropic situations, making them more survivable. The E-30 enclosure can be an integral part of your next safety project.
|Polycarbonate Watertight 03|
|Rose+Bopla’s Polycarbonate Watertight 03 enclosure offers exceptional design possibilities in high quality plastic at low prices. A broad range of sizes covers a wide array of widths and depths. Ideal where high impact resistance or chemical corrosion must be addressed at a reasonable cost. Wall mounting holes are molded into each corner. These holes are outside the internal chamber to maintain the enclosures watertight integrity. The lid must be removed to utilize the wall mounting feature. This is a basic shoe box design made of injection-molded polycarbonate.
Rose+Bopla’s Polycarbonate Watertight 03 enclosures are designed for use in the electro-mechanical and the electronics industry. They are good for small instruments and junction boxes. Typical applications are relay module enclosures, geophysical sensoring equipment and temperature control monitors.
The Polycarbonate 03 box comes with a solid color lid and base, captive stainless steel lid screws, molded-in lid screw inserts in the base and a neoprene gasket. Metric press-in brass inserts for internal mounting bosses are also available.
|Polycarbonate Watertight 33|
|Rose+Bopla’s Polycarbonate Watertight 33 enclosures with clear lids offer design engineers an excellent, cost-effective, instrumentation box. The lid is made of clear polycarbonate which makes it ideal for viewing meters or counters that must be protected from water and dust. Polycarbonate clear lid watertight enclosures are often used as data loggers, digital odometer instruments and process control monitors. Polycarbonate offers high impact resistance and excellent chemical resistance.
The Polycarbonate Watertight 33 includes a clear polycarbonate lid, a solid color polycarbonate base, captive stainless steel lid screws, molded-in lid screw inserts in the base, and a neoprene gasket. Metric press-in brass inserts for internal mounting bosses are also available.
|Polycarbonate Watertight EM|
|The Polycarbonate Watertight EM enclosure is ideal for packaging high quality electronic instrumentation. These housings feature a stylish beveled edge lid design, smooth high-polish finish and molded edges. The aesthetic design of our Polycarbonate Watertight EM enclosure will enhance the marketability of your finished product. Plus, these enclosures have been designed to be completely recyclable and contain no pressed-in metal inserts.
The Polycarbonate Watertight EM consists of: a polycarbonate base with plastic threads for lid screws, and internal bosses in base for mounting terminals and printed circuit boards; a polycarbonate lid with 4 captive lid screws and internal bosses in the lid for mounting printed circuit boards; and a neoprene gasket. Optional Silicone or RFI gaskets, lid screw caps, external wall-mounting brackets, and mounting plates are available.
Rose+Bopla also offers a modified lid design with a raised border area for membrane keypads.
|Polycarbonate Modular Flange|
|The Polycarbonate Modular Flange System is similar in design to our Fiberglass Modular Flange System in that these enclosures can be used as stand alone units or can be bolted together with connecting tunnel flanges and wedges. The Polycarbonate 1700 system features a greater range of sizes and is made of glass-filled Polycarbonate, a very economical material. One additional difference is that each Polycarbonate Modular Flange box is a complete enclosure unto itself, without the insertion of flanges.
The Polycarbonate Modular Flange System covers a broad spectrum of applications because they can be combined in so many ways. This system is ideal in applications where add-on capability or routine entry into the enclosure for maintenance is required. Some major benefits of this enclosure system are: they are very economical; they can be used in combination with any other modular polycarbonate flange enclosures; and working with the flanges is easy. The most common applications for Polycarbonate Flange enclosures are in the automotive industry, in electrical installations, and in areas where frequent rewiring is necessary.
The 1700 system consists of six different sizes of enclosures that can be used alone or connected together with tunnel adapters. Length and width dimensions are easily expandable by adding additional enclosures. Standard units, made of glass-filled polycarbonate, are UV stabilized to improve weather resistance and have a low halogen content which helps prevent the release of toxic halogenated gases when burned. The material brings strength, ruggedness, and weather/corrosion resistance to this very economical enclosure system. Our Polycarbonate Modular Flange enclosures have a NEMA 12 (IP 65) ingress protection rating and are mainly used indoors.
Each unit includes a base and a lid with a polyurethane foam gasket. All lids come with captive, quick-release, Phillips-head lid screws, also made of glass-filled Polycarbonate material. Flanges, tunnel adapters, internal mounting plates, internal mounting clips, internal mounting boss inserts, internal hinges, DIN Rails, external brackets, wedges and stainless steel grounding strips are sold separately as accessories. Every enclosure comes with molded-in partitions in the sidewalls that can be knocked-out to accept the connecting tunnels or flanges. The simple interlocking clip and wedge design makes this process quick and easy. To remove the molded-in partitions in the enclosure sidewalls, simply score the perimeter of the partition with a razor knife then knock out the partition. To attach flanges and tunnel adapters, interlock clips at the bottom, then secure at the top with wedges. Some flanges have molded-in knockouts designed to accept Rose+Bopla cable grips. Depending on the application, the flange openings can be configured with either blind, threaded or connecting flanges.
|ABS Watertight 09 Enclosures|
|Rose+Bopla’s ABS Watertight 09 enclosures are designed for a wide variety of electronic packaging applications. They are particularly suited for enclosing electrical and electronic components and housing complete small control systems. These enclosures have been used for solar panel control boxes, medical oxygen monitors and electronic lighting dimmer control housings.
The ABS Watertight 09 enclosure offers the lowest cost in our watertight enclosure line. ABS is an excellent alternative when reduced material characteristics are sufficient. The low cost makes these boxes ideal for large production runs.
Made from injection-molded ABS plastic (Acylonitrile-Butadine-Styrene), the enclosure includes a base and lid, captive stainless steel lid screws, molded-in lid screw inserts in the base, and a neoprene watertight gasket. Metric press-in brass inserts for internal mounting bosses are also available.

|Element ABS Enclosures|
|Our popular Element series of small plastic boxes features a unique “U” shaped lid/base design, which simplifies electronic component installation and maintenance through the open sides of the lower section. The standard color scheme is a light gray lid and dark gray base. Element enclosures are made of shock resistant Polystyrene and come in 12 sizes. They are ideal for small instruments, PCBs, and many other electronic components.
Screws secure the housing together from the rear. Optional front access lid screws can be used for wall-mount applications. Four internal mounting bosses accept screws for mounting plate. Flame-retardant versions with molded-in plugs are also available.
|The Executive series consists of small plastic boxes with beveled edges and concealed assembly hardware secured from the rear. Housings are available in 11 sizes. Material is impact resistant polystyrene. Options include ventilation, medium gray color band on upper section, plastic or anodized aluminum end panels, gasketing and front access lid screws (for wall-mount applications). Internal mounting bosses (upper and lower) accept self-tapping screws. A clip-in mounting plate is also available for the lower section. Bases have keyhole knockouts for wall-mounting. |ECO/PCI Compact Enclosures|
|The availability of 11 different sizes with lids of up to 4 different heights are the basic components of this series of enclosures. The PCI enclosure series comes with PG embossings, while the ECO enclosure series has plain sides.
Optionally, the ECO enclosures are available with an opaque or transparent lid.
